On Election Night I was cloistered away in the studio, as I am every Tuesday night when I'm not on tour, producing my weekly radio show "Rssd Uul Maang" for WMPG. By the time I'd started recording in the late evening the election was already starting to look bleak. By the time I was mixing the final results live on the radio the result was a largely foregone conclusion. When I went to do the 12am voice break I was so upset I could barely speak.

aaaaaaand that is the context in which this mix was born. No voice here, just the hums from speakers, florescent lights, and tape decks playing nothing with shards of plastic, a book shelf, several tape loops, a couple of computers, a sampler, a radio, a doorbell and a lot of anger, and flippancy.

If I told you an album recorded with pulse generators and a shortwave and distortion soars you’d be sensible to not believe me but this is a glorious noise in full flight. unruh2525
This was a dadaist event for me. The quiet flows and clicks made me wish my inner ears moved from my skull and closer to the diaphragms of my headphones. William Stryjewski
Written in response to the climate crisis, “Leviathan” is a brooding and beautifully unsettling batch of dark ambient songs. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 16, 2023
Purposely scaled-back electronic music, “Intruder” is all about the texture of a few pieces of gear playing off one another. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 26, 2023
So soothing! So ominous. A warning siren for someone, but not you. This is a drone I can return to endlessly, knowing that it will calm me and give me some focus. Mister Meows
